Joey Somebody; Sibling Loss, Vulnerability and the Male Ego
Today I am sharing a very important conversation. I recently spoke with Joey Dumont, a self-professed 'recovering egoist' who took a year off to write a book about his life, his loss & 'recovery' that turned into three and has now sent him down a new path of (comedic) enlightenment with a heart for helping others. Joey lost his younger brother to suicide in April 2007 and spent the next year basically hiding, or perhaps running, from the grief, the PTSD and more. Sibling loss is complicated and as we know, loss by suicide even more so. It truly was a joy to talk with him. I hope you will take something from it as well!
ALL THINGS Joey Dumont can be found here... his book ("Joey Somebody"), his podcast ("Laugh Your Cry Out") and his coaching! I encourage you to check him out! I cannot wait to listen to his podcast and read his book. Again HERE is the LINK go check him out!
As with everything you hear on my podcasts, please take that which serves you & leave the rest. I hope you will find something of value & I am so sorry that you need to be here, but so honored you are here.
Please reach out to me if you know of someone that I should talk to or if you yourself would like to have a conversation around the suicide loss and grief space. Instagram is probably still the best way to contact me or directly through email. I am already scheduling people into this Spring so it's not too soon to reach out!
